A statewide alliance in formation
Connecting Tennessee communities with capital and opportunity.
Tennessee CDFI Alliance brings community lenders and partners together to expand access to responsible financing across our state.

What is a CDFI?
Community lenders with a mission.
Community Development Financial Institutions — CDFIs — are lenders whose purpose is to serve people and places that traditional finance often overlooks. They include loan funds, credit unions, community banks and others certified by the U.S. Treasury.
CDFIs finance small businesses, first homes, affordable housing, community facilities and household needs — and often pair that financing with coaching, planning and practical support so borrowers can succeed.
- Small businesses and entrepreneurs
- Homebuyers and affordable housing
- Households building credit and stability
- Nonprofits and community projects

What TCA will do
Four priorities for a stronger lending network.
- 01
Policy and advocacy
Give Tennessee's community lenders a shared, informed voice with state and federal decision makers.
- 02
Capital and partnerships
Connect members with banks, foundations, public agencies and investors to bring more responsible capital into the state.
- 03
Capacity and leadership development
Build skills and leadership at every level of member organizations through training and peer learning.
- 04
Borrower access and community impact
Make it easier for people and organizations to find the right lender, and tell the story of what that financing builds.
